A pain in the a$$ to sit

Hello, sorry I have been away for a while and have not had the opportunity to read, much less comment. Nina's mom had neck surgury and afterwards was unable to move her right side. She is in rehab now doing better, and we traveled to see her, which has kept us both preoccupied for the last couple of weeks. I am so far behnd on Ana's advent calender that it still seems like early December! I cannot believe it is so close to Christmas!

Today I decided to write a light hearted post about a subject we are all familiar with. I suspect from the title you are thinking spanking....well nope. I am talking about the recurring male/female dynamic regarding the position of the toilet seat! Leave it up or down, that is the question. It takes no more effort to raise than to lower, so I wondered what was the big deal?

I believe the axiom never judge another until you have walked in their shoes. So I decided to conduct an experiement. I picked a day and everytime I went to the bathroom, all day, I sat! Gracious me girls, but what a pain in the a$$! :-) The extra effort to remove and then restore one's attire is a lot more trouble than it seems. I understand now how one more step in an already multi-step process is just plain irritating! I offer a challenge to any males to give it a try. Makes you really appreciate the simplicity of our anatomy!

OK, I suspect about now a few of you girls are thinking, yep, God made it simple to match everything else about guys! :-) Maybe so, but then......why do girls always go to the restroom in pairs! Lets just all say "whatever"....and thank the Lord for our differences!!!

Merry Christmas to all!

Happy Thanksgiving

                    Happy Thanksgiving!

Whether it is an official holiday where you live or not, I hope your day today is a blessed one. I have more to be thankful for, and more blessings than I deserve. However, today I want to express my thanks for this community.

I see how open and true people are about sharing their thoughts and feelings. At work or at church, or even with some family members, when you ask "how are you doing", you almost always hear the perfunctory "I'm doing great, thanks"! But here, feelings and problems as well as joys and concerns are fully shared.....and then listened to with sympathy and understanding, and in the joyous moments, genuine celebration.

I am thankful for what I have learned about how women think! Not that I will ever totally get it! Reminds me of the joke about the man who found a bottle and when he rubbed it a genie came out. The genie granted him one wish, so he said "I have always wanted to visit Hawaii, but I am afraid of boats and planes so please construct a highway from California so I can drive". The genie said do you know how impossibly difficult that would be, are you crazy? Isn't there anything else you want. The man thought and then said "OK tell me how to understand women". The genie then asked, do you want that to be a two lane or four lane highway!

Ladies, reading your words expressing your innermost feelings and thoughts has given me an opportunity to see things from a different perspective. For that I am thankful!

I am especially thankful for the special friends I have met here. Although you are miles away, you have greeted me like a new next door neighbor, knocking on my door and offering a smile and a dozen fresh baked chocolate chip cookies just to say hello and welcome. I know as a spanked male, I am in a minority, yet I feel accepted and indeed even encouraged to join in the conversations. Thank you.

I am not naive enough to believe that everyone is as they appear and I realize there are those who might even have nefarious motives. But I have yet to see anyone who has not been caring, kind, supportive and respectful of others. In summary, if this were a real town, I would not want to live anywhere else!

Hugs and Blessings to all,
George

Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra

I don't know about you but I get a kick out of all the erectile dysfunction advertisements. You know, the ones for Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. It always amazes me how the couples are so fit and healthy looking....and the women are always attractive and always very receptive to the guys subtle ways of  communicating "heh babe, wanna fool around?".

And afterwards...or is it before...they end up in separate tubs, usually outdoors?

I always feel sorry for the Viagra guys because they always have problems. But since they are older and have figured everything out, nothing slows them down! They can fix anything, just like MacGyver.

And it always appeared to me the women in the Levitra ads were as happy or happier than the guys! It's like after taking Levitra she says "wow honey, haven't seen you look like this in years"!

And then of course always check to see if you are healthy enough for sex, followed by my favorite disclaimer of all...if you get an erection lasting more than four hours see your doctor immediately! (we should all be so lucky) :-))

I am fast approaching the age of 63 and so I have been curious about how long I can expect certain body parts to continue functioning, with or without above wonder drugs (if you get my drift). *wink*

Well, I decided to find out. Now, I am not shy when visiting my Dr. so on my last check up I asked him to explain to me in detail exactly how things worked. He provided a detailed explanation of precisely how things functioned. If you are interested email me, otherwise, the answer I was most curious about was that he had some men who experienced ED as early as 40 and others who were sexually active in their 80's with no need for any of the aforementioned drugs!

Wow, exciting news! So naturally I rushed straight home and told Nina that one way or another I should be able to rise to the occasion for at least another twenty years! *wink*

Blessings,
George

A Random Thought

I was at the grocery store the other day and found myself observing some of the other shoppers and thought, I wonder if they are into TTWD?  I also find myself doing this at any public venue. I think, what if they are just as interested as I and we could somehow connect and share our stories.

I have read the early Christians during the time of Roman persecution, used the sign of the fish or Ichthys as a code  to express their affinity to Christianity. Ichthys is the Ancient Greek word for "fish." The "Christian fish," or "Jesus fish" symbol consists of two intersecting arcs tracing the outline of a fish (most commonly with the fish "swimming" to the left) One person would draw half and if the other was also a Christian, they would complete the picture by drawing the other half.

I was at a restaurant the other night and while waiting for our dinner, got in to a very nice conversation with the couple at the table next to ours. We talked about where we each lived, our vocations, sports and parts of the country we liked best. It was a very nice dinner experience and I thought, what if they were a TTWD couple? As comfortable as I was talking with them, it just didn't seem like the thing to ask!

That's when I thought, wouldn't it be great if we had a secret symbol and could communicate with random others just like the early Christians! It was just a passing thought and although not practical, I decided to share it here on my blog.

I am certain I will continue to observe and wonder about passing strangers and hope they are as lucky as Nina and I. Anyone else want to admit to being as crazy curious as I am?

Blessings,
George

Love Our Lurkers

Hello friendly Lurkers and welcome! My name is George and I asked my wife, Nina, to spank me! We have been married for 37 years and she has been spanking me off and on for about 26 of those years. I get spanked for stress relief and for fun, but unlike some, we do not do punishment spankings, nor are we a Domestic Discipline (DD) couple. I have no objections to either as long as it is consensual, it is just not for us.

I, like most everyone, started out as a lurker and would comment as anonymous, then created a blog name and finally a blog of my own and have been blogging for about 6 months. What I have discovered is an amazing group of kind hearted and caring individuals and I am happy to say I have made some great new friends along the way.

As a community we support each other and we compare adventures, but mostly we share. We share our ups and downs, our celebrations and our sorrows, and sometimes just random thoughts. Being a spanked husband, I am a minority blog, however, I have never felt anything other than welcome.

If you have a question, I would be happy to try and answer.  If you are inclined, just say hello, I would love to hear from you.

Blessings,
George

After Wedding Spanking

Hello everyone,

With all the wedding things happening in the previous months, there has not been any spanking going on around here. Seems like we were either too tired or just had other things more pressing to attend to. Well, our daughter is married and back from their honeymoon, so I told Nina I was long over due for a spanking and asked her if she would perhaps like to rectify that situation. She agreed and so events were set in motion!

Well last night Nina said it was time, so into the bedroom we went, out came the paddle, and down came my underwear! As I have said previously, Nina is not a spanko but is one of those remarkable spouses that goes along with TTWD even though they don't really "get it".

That said, I wonder sometimes if she isn't secretly hiding some feelings and is not as vanilla as I think because when she spanks, she doesn't mess around.  She had me lay across the bed and with no warm-up gave me a flurry of what she said were not very hard spanks, but certainly got my full  attention! After about 30, she stopped and when I commented that those were sure hard spanks (big mistake) she decided to demonstrated what a hard spanking really was! (wasn't she thoughtful :-)

After that demonstration, which really got me dancing around and hollering, she stopped and asked how I liked that. Now just how does one answer that question???? I simply said "those really stung". After a final break she finished off with a bunch more (I lost count) and the spanking was over.

I thanked her for a really great spanking and did what I suppose most everyone does after a spanking. I went and checked to see what my backside looked like. It was red and hot to the touch so naturally I asked Nina to come and feel!  She came in to the bathroom and felt the heat off of my very rosy bottom and commented that she had done a good job! See why I have suspicions!

Afterwards we both felt a lot better and definitely won't wait so long until next time. Isn't it amazing how a great spanking can make you both so very happy and content!

This is a picture of that most evil paddle she used last night. I thought you might like to see!

It is not the biggest, but in her hands it sure makes an impression, because as I sit here writing, I can still feel the after effects.  LOL

Blessings to all,
George

Wedding Update

Hello everyone.

This will be a quick update on the wedding. It was marvelous! The weather was great, the food was super, and the bride was stunning! (not that I am prejudice). I got to do my speech at the reception and only choked up one time! I took this one photo with my camera phone of the place she stood (attached below). I will add more photos after I get them loaded on the computer, but just wanted to thank everyone for all the good wishes!

love,
George

The Wedding Day is Near

Hello all,

Life has been busy lately for us. Our daughters wedding is now less than two weeks away. I have my Tux, Nina has her dress, the preparations are almost all complete and about all I have left to do is finish my speech for the reception. I am really looking forward to that! Here is the first part I have written:

Welcome and thank you to everyone for being here to share in this joyous occasion. I am the father of the bride and now is the time when I get to stand up and say a few words…. other than “yes sweetie, I think that would be perfect”.
There are several significant moments in a life with daughters. The day they are born; the day they take their first steps; the day they get their own car; and then there is that day they say, Mommy, Daddy, I met this boy named Donald.

Donald, when I heard you two met though a dating service, I thought, “a dating service” my goodness this guy must be really desperate to have to pay some outfit to find him girls! I thought “why couldn’t he meet someone like we did in my dating days…. at a bar!  Or the scariest way of all (and BTW the way, it was how I met Nina) on a blind date.
Nina, before we went on that blind date, I never heard  any one say “she has a great personality and all the girls love her”. I was told you were attractive, really nice and a whole lot of fun. That was a perfect description Nina, because you were then and still are all those things and much, much more. You are my best friend and the love of my life; thank you for marrying me.

Nina and I both really like Donald, and know we are truly blessed for that. I plan to say more about my little girl and although I have been dreading this day since the day she was born (I cry every time in the Father of the Bride" movies and told her I thought "The Little Mermaid" had a sad ending because Ariel left her father and the ocean!) but instead, I find myself being really, really, happy for them. They are so much in love and the look of joy on each of their faces just radiates bright as the sun!  So I plan to walk her down the isle sharing her joy and any tears will happy ones.

She is fluent in Spanish, and I wanted to conclude with a special moment to remember between her and I, so I plan to close by saying:  "Nunca olvide, tu hijo es tu hijo hasta que se casa con su esposa, pero tu hija es tu hija para toda tu vida." which translates as "Never forget, your son is your son til he marries his wife, but your daughter's your daughter, for all of your life".  To which I say, AMEN!!!!!!

Blessings to all,
George

Astonishing Coordination and Skill

I taught myself to juggle during the summer of '69 working for the City. It was one of those jobs doing manual labor where you see 4 people at a site and one is working hard and the other three are all standing around watching! LOL

I don't know if you have ever learned to juggle, but if you have, then you know how difficult this really is.  I was able to do three balls OK, but this girl's ability definitely belongs in the category of unbelievable. I do not know who the talented young lady is, but WOW is she amazing or what!

Update and a Question

Seems like I either have a lot I want to blog about or nothing much to say. Other than next months never ending wedding preparations, nothing much interesting is happening. Not even a fun spanking. I may have to talk with Nina about changing that situation! I will let you know how that idea turns out!

Until then however, I want to ask a question. Understand, I am 62 years old and grew up in the late sixties (BTW, an unbelievably fantastic time!) so understand my mores. The question is mostly for the girls but guys feel free to opine.

Today's media advertising portray young couples (especially beer commercials), where the girls are young and attractive and appear as if they have taken time to prepare every body part from their toenails to the top of their flowing locks. The guys on the other hand appear as if they have not shaved for the past week and suddenly realize "oops, I have 5 minutes so  guess I better get ready" look about them.

We all know certain friends, both guys and gals, who look good no matter what. I had a really great friend in college that looked absolutely fantastic 24/7 no matter what condition he was in and all the girls just adored him. He was also a great person which only enhanced his likability. So admittedly yes, some of us can pull it off.

There are also the models who cast their spells upon us and attempt to make is believe if only we use their product then we too be transformed into something of which dreams are made!

However, most of the time I am thinking, probably a really nice fellow, but I just don't see them as a couple.

So what do you think?

A. Yes, they look soooo hot!

B. They look like slobs and I would not want to make-out with anyone who looks like that...gross!

C. It appeals to my fantasy to be knocked in the head and dragged by my hair to his cave.

D. I just look at the girls and how they are dressed....not interested in the guys!

E. Stupid question George....get a life!

So there you have it.....

Blessings,
George

A Lite Hearted Perspective

Hello to all. Things have been a little slow around our place lately. School is back in full swing and our youngest who has started her first year teaching is getting over the shock of real life and into a routine. Our oldest is anxiously waiting for her wedding day next month and most of the plans are in place. I suspect this recent calm is actually the proverbial "calm  before the storm"! But that is OK, because I am ready for an adventure or two!

Someone sent Nina these a while ago and I thought they were amusing, so naturally I wanted to share them with all of you.

Perspective is sometimes so much more important than we realize!

Blessings,

George
